Matthew (Matt) Klein is currently a shareholder, board member and director of digital for Magnani Continuum Marketing (MCM), an integrated marketing and brand development agency in Chicago. In this position Matt applies over 15 years of information technology consulting experience to the challenges of marketing, branding and advertising for companies in the insurance, consumer sporting goods, consumer household products and hospitality industries.
Prior to MCM, Matt operated as Klein Digital, providing information technology consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. In this capacity, Matt was instrumental in the design, development and delivery of B2C Web applications, as well as conducting technology due diligence and business planning for the commercialization of internal software applications.
From 1998 through 2001, Matt was the founder and CEO of Generator Corporation, an Internet professional services firm delivering Web application design, development and maintenance to medium and large companies. Prior to Generator Corporation, Matt was involved in a flurry of Internet application development initiatives, while earning a B.S., with honors, from the DeVry Institute of Technology. Of these intitiatives, the most notable were the design and development of the first Internet-based flower ordering application and an Internet-enabled desktop avatar for college students.
Before directing his career towards Internet application services, Matt grew his technology skills through positions as a network and systems administrator and a database application developer for small businesses.
Matt's work has won recognition from the Chicago Association of Direct Marketers, the London International Advertising Association, the Golden Web Awards and the Webby Awards. Twice named as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional, Matt's programming experience earned him the opportunity to co-author two definitive resources for Microsoft e-commerce applications.
In his spare time, Matt spends time with his family, seeks stimulating music, studies Japanese and Spanish, reads The Economist, and seeks to advance his skills and knowledge in flight, horticulture, skiing, photography, micro-biology, history and geopolitics.
